Welcome to Lymphoedema Support Doncaster

A very warm welcome awaits you at Doncaster’s Lymphoedema support group

Our support group offers a friendly forum to share our experiences exchange ideas; voice concerns and make new friends!

  • Who are we?
The Lymphoedema Support Group in Doncaster was initially set up in September 2003 in response to the growing need for more information and help for people in the Doncaster and Mexborough areas who have Lymphoedema.

We are a group of people with an interest in Lymphoedema. Some of us have primary Lymphoedema which might have been present from birth or developed in later years following infection or trauma. Others have secondary Lymphoedema which sometimes develops when the lymphatic system becomes impaired following surgery, cancer related treatments such as radiotherapy, or injury.

Anyone who would like to know more about Lymphoedema is welcome to attend the support groups meetings and we actively encourage volunteers who would like to work with the group in any way.

  • The aim of the group is to bring together patients, carers, friends, family, members of the public and interested health professionals in a friendly atmosphere where Lymphoedema can be discussed and general advice and support offered to those that need it.

Our meetings are lively, positive and sometimes even inspirational!
